My sister wanted to get some running shoes for her kids while she was here. (It's hard to find good tennis shoes there.) After JoAnne got shoes for all her kids, we decided to try them out and have a race with a toilet paper finish line and all. We started with age groups. First Giana and Lopeti (Bobby) raced. Lopeti got distracted and went a different direction, so Giana won that one, but he got to break through the finish line too. Next Adona and Vili raced. Vili is definitely faster and Adona was just laughing as she ran. All the way telling us she was so fast. Then Hika and Brandon races, but had to stop before they got to break through the finish line, because Vili broke it right before they got there.
After they all raced, we did one last run with everyone around the whole yard. They all were rewarded with a little candy. It was a fun little event for the kids and a great distraction.
