The weekend of Jordan's farewell was also the weekend of the Rockford County Fair. It was the perfect thing to do that Saturday while we were there. I loved seeing the kids and Dave experiencing a small town parade. Once my kids realized they got candy if they waved, they REALLY enjoyed it!
The day consisted of a 5k run, called poultry in motion. Then we followed it with the parade, in which we collected quite the load of candy. Then we ate lunch, looked at the animals, and rode a few rides. Could not ask for a better time.
