Zion Day 2

Since the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend is so busy we decided not to go to the main area of the park, but to find a new hike that we had not ever done before. We looked at a few and decided on Hidden Gardens. Of course I forgot to print out the directions to the beginning of the hike, so we think we found it. If that wasn't it, it was good enough. We loved it! We only saw 5 other people on the trail and that was when we were heading back to the car. It was shaded a lot of the way and there were tons of little pockets of water for the girls to splash around in.
I enjoyed taking pictures of the girl, because the lighting was amazing in most of the areas of the hike. We took the hike very slow because the girls were pretty tired from hiking close to 8 miles the day before. I loved how they would climb all over Dave during our many breaks.

See how tired our little Giana was. She totally fell asleep part of the way back from this hike.

After we returned to camp and Giana and I got a nap the girls enjoyed playing with some of the many caterpillars they would find around camp. They were so happy to show us each of them. We even came home with some by accident.
As part of our camping time on Saturday we headed to the "beach" and let the girls play. Adona was very tough and would totally get wet in the very cold water. Giana just enjoyed getting dirty.
Camping would not be camping without some s'mores! We had so much fun camping as a family. It helped that Dave brought me a real bed to sleep on. If it wasn't for that I don't know that I would have been able to sleep. I look forward to more camping vacations with our little family. We had such a great time!
