On Friday we began our hike to the top of Mt. Charleston. We started at 6 PM and we got to the meadow where we were going to sleep that night around 10 PM. 
It was a really hard hike and it was even harder with 45 pound packs on our backs. Adona was a trooper though and was pretty good the whole 4 hours. I however wasn't. I was so tired and am not in the best shape for the climb. We arrived and there were 2 deer walking around us. That was really fun to see. Dave and Jordan set up camp while I took care of Adona. 
It was pretty cold after sweating the whole way up. It felt good though to get some relieve from the Las Vegas heat. We ate dinner and then got into bed for a long night. Adona was in a tight spot and didn't like it much. She would scream and wake us up when she wanted to move and couldn't. I think we slept only a couple of hours.
On Saturday we finished out climb to the top. It went a lot faster and wasn't as steep.
When we got to the top we took a break and relaxed. It was fun seeing all the things up there. It was really beautiful weather too. There was a little bit of a breeze, but not a strong one. We signed the book and headed down. 
We broke camp and then headed the rest of the way to the car. 
We got home around 6 PM and enjoyed just relaxing. Adona was so happy to be home where she could run around and play. Since she was in the backpack carrier almost the whole trip. I'm REALLY sore, but I'm glad we did it. However I won't be doing it again anytime soon. HA!

It look like you guys had a lot of fun! We have been wanting to do that for awhile. We can't wait to get back so we can!!! Adona is so amazing!!! She is the perfect little hiker!
Looks like you guys had fun! Way to be a trooper Jenna! I am glad that you and Dave are still married now that it is over :)! Ha! We need to do a trip together, it would be fun!
How Fun! Adona is a trooper for sure! She will be an avid hiker when she grows up and take after her awesome parents!

You guys are brave! I am highly impressed. Mark and I keep talking about taking the boys camping, but haven't seem to be able to formulate any plans yet. That seems to be the way of things for me while I'm working, just can't get it all together.
I can't believe how blonde she is! Happy Birthday Adona! It looks like you gusy have had a fun summer. Just think, in Vegas you still have about 3 more months of summer!
