What do you do!!!?
Adona loves to throw whatever food she doesn't want on the floor. It drives me CRAZY!! I am sweeping and mopping the floor many times a day. I have been trying to think of ways to stop this habit, because she just laughs when I tell her not to do it. My first thought is to take away all of her food and get her out of the chair, so that she doesn't get anymore food. No that didn't work, she was happy to get out and eat the food on the floor, so she actually got what she wanted. humm... I know! I'll make her pick it up until it's all clean and in the garbage. This was going to work! I just knew it. It went really well the first time, she got a little mad at first, but picked up everything and threw it away. I have to say I was amazed the she was able to understand what to do and do with with me just showing her and modeling it to her once. Well the next meal time comes and she does it again, not as bad, but still. Well I'm going to stick with my plan and make her pick it up. This time she did it almost without me telling her and she continued to throw things away. I took a peak in the trash can and there were her shoes and toys and whatever was on the floor! HA!! She now loves throwing stuff away, it's just stuff I don't always want thrown away! HA!! Now I have to figure out how to keep her from throwing it all away. So anyway! She is still throwing her food on the floor, probably even worst now and the only thing I can think to do is take away her food and not let her out of her chair for a while. It's not working though, so any suggestions would be great! I'm really hate stepping in food all the time! HA!
Here she is, hard at work. Look at the innocent face!

That's really funny! Sorry to say though... I think it's just a phase that pretty much ALL kids go through, and you just have to deal w/ it until it passes. Fia and Lisi both threw their food, and now Kaho is in that stage. I pretty much just scold them so they know that they shouldn't do it(while they laugh in return), and then take the food away. I've noticed that my kids typically have started the throwing of the food when they're done eating it and are bored! Good Luck w/ this OH SO FUN stage in childhood!
oh, Jena I hope Adona's phase doesn't last long. All 3 of the boys have done it and they do stop eventually. I just kept putting them in time out. Sometimes, it does last for a couple of months. I also tried giving them their own little "trash can". That did help. They thought it was so funny! Good luck!
