Sunday
Our first Sunday was in my sister's ward, which was English speaking. It was fun to have Dave dress up in the traditional Tongan clothes. Okay, so he only had the skirt, but what more did he need. I thought my nephews were so cute in their outfits too. This Sunday was also Adona's first time to go to nursery. She went, but was a little needy, so they brought her to us during the last hour. I think it will be a good story to tell her about her first 2 nursery experiences.
The second Sunday was on the island of Vavau. I'll write about that more later. It was a Tongan speaking ward and it was reversed schedule. We had planned on only catching sacrament meeting, because we were invited to 2 wards, but didn't realize that it was reversed. Since it was in Tongan and we don't speak or understand Tongan, it made for a fun Relief Society and Sunday School. There was a lady that was translating to my mom, but I couldn't hear her very well. The best part was Sacrament meeting. Semisi was always saying they will make him speak if he goes to one of the Tongan speaking wards, Jo always laughed, but sure enough they had Semisi and my Dad speak. It was very funny to see my Dad's face when they called his name to speak. HA! It went well and Semisi translated for him. It was fun to enjoy the Tongan voices. They had the most amazing ability to sing, as long as it is in Tongan. They weren't so great in my sister's ward, because it was in English.

Dave looks so pretty in his skirt! :) I can't believe how green it is there... maybe we are just so starved for color living in this desert.
Ah yes, Tongan wards in Tonga. That's so funny they asked Misi and your dad to speak! When we went they asked me, Amoni, and Nela to speak since we were all visiting! There was no way I was going to speak because I've never had to speak impromptu in church! Especially to a bunch of people I didn't know! But Moni and Nela did and I had no idea what they were saying. :) I love reading all about your trip, and it actually makes me want to go back. I'd love to visit Vavau next time. Keep posting more!
