Christmas for Giana

I haven't been looking forward to decorating for Christmas this year, because Giana is always into everything. I know that I can train her not to, but do I really want to follow this child around for a week correcting her every move! NO! Adona was so excited though, that we had to put the tree up and a few other things to remind them that Christmas isn't about Santa.
One of our favorite decorations are our nativities. The following is about our nativity that plays music, lights up, and moves. The girls love it, but of course they can't keep their hands off it. The first night I let Giana stand next to it and reminded her over and over again to fold her arms and not to touch. Here is how it went:

Folding her arms, but having a hard time controlling her little body. Notice her hand moving around.
Just sneaking a little touch, maybe Mom won't see me do it.

Giving up, I have to touch the baby!!
In the end I have only had to glue a donkey and a shepherd back together again (at least from this nativity). Not too bad and now they have forgotten about it, so we are safe for now. I do love seeing the excitement the girls have for the decorations. Giana makes me turn the tree lights on anytime she sees that they are off. She loves them! I'm very glad I put the tree up for them. It really hasn't been as bad as I thought.

I know what you mean. Our Christmas tree is in danger of tipping over any second because it is so top heavy... no decorations on the bottom half because Tessa pulls them off and eats them. The tree looks ridiculous, but still somehow festive.

We have an awesome Christmas display of the Department 56 Dickens series! We didn't even get it out! :) I love how exciting it is for the kids to drive down our streets and enjoy the lights!
