I was however very excited to make her a cake. I wanted to get a jumbo cupcake for her, but didn't want to buy it already done or an expensive mold for it. So I saw these mini round cake pans and decided that was exactly what I wanted. They were so cute. I just made a box cake and then layered and frosted. I however have never been a perfectionist, so the cakes were not even. That made the cakes slant a little. HA! I was bumped they didn't turn out BEAUTIFUL, but I didn't really care that much. I thought they turned out good enough. Next year I'll make it better!
She did a great job at destroying her cake and she seemed to like it well enough. It was fun.

Happy Birthday, Adona! We love you!!!
Carter saw her picture and said: "A cake! Oh no, Adona a mess!" That was funny! Happy 1st bday!!
How cute!!! You are so good at trying things out w/ your cooking and baking. I think the cake is adorable- I'm boring, I always just give my kids a big cupcake to destroy. I also love checking out your recipe blog- keep on cooking!
You are brave to make that cute of a b-day cake. Maybe I should start practicing for Lana!
HAPPY BIG 1 ADONA!!! Can't wait for you to hang w/your boyfriend this weekend! Also I had no idea you had a recipe blog I'll have to check it out I always love trying new recipe's too!!!
Happy 1st Birthday Adona!!! Jen...you are such a mom. That cake looks awesome and really yummy.
P.S. - I bought that "Leap Frog" DVD you told me to get. So far the kids love it. They haven't memorized it...YET. But it is a hit, so thank you for that!
Happy birthday Adona. The cake looks great and every year they get better. This reminds me I should be doing something for my soon to be one year old next week. Thanks.
Jena,
I can't believe that Adonna is 1, how is that possible? I found your blog through Karissa's. Mark and I were just saying that we need to call you guys. When are you headed to visit Jo, or did you already go? I should really just email you instead of taking space here.
