Christmas Day

This was such a wonderful Christmas Day! We had such a great time as our little family and then headed over to join more of the DeMarco family for crepes. We made sure to try and start some sort of tradition with the girls this year. One of them being telling the story of Christ's birth and talked about what was important about this day. We are trying to encourage and teach of Christ and not make this day about Santa (although a great symbol of giving).
After a few songs sung as a family, we opened presents from each other. Giana of course was ready to just play with the first thing she opened and at one point was hiding under our computer desk. Adona loved looking at the tags and finding her name on each of her gifts.
The girls loved their gifts and played with them immediately. My favorite gift for them was the rocket balloons I found at Target and Walmart. Since hearing my brother-in-law's story about rocket balloons I have always thought it would be a great Christmas tradition. When I found them I knew we had to have them this year. It was also a great way to get the girls outside playing on our beautiful Christmas morning.
Giana was so cute wearing this santa hat Dave's sister got her, that I had to put together a collage of them. She is learning from her big sister.

No pictures of our wonderful tradition (of the last 2 years) of crepes. They were too yummy to stop eating to take a picture!
The rest of our day we spent being with Dave's family and just relaxing. It was a low stress Christmas and it was wonderful!
