Six Miles!!

This last Saturday we were invited to join our friends' family on a six mile hike in Red Rock. We of course wanted to go, since the weather has been so nice and the girls have really been into hiking the last few months. Here are the troops at the beginning of the hike. (Giana already cranky, because she had a very high fever the night before and wasn't feeling great the whole hike.)

Here are a few random shots from the hike. Some highlights are when we saw a long horned sheep off the trail and when I was trying to get Adona excited about hiking and to stop whining I told her to look for them. She said they were flying in the sky and that she saw them everywhere. It worked though, because she got happy and hike a lot faster and better for the next little bit she was near me.
You have to love this shot. Adona was really cranky during the beginning of the hike, because she went to bed so late due to Giana's fever. To try and get her excited I reminded her to help Annie, because this was one of her first hikes. It helped for a short time, but not too long.
Here we are at the end of the six miles that both Annie and Adona (both 3 1/2 years old) hiked without being carried.
Classic Giana shot here. Mad and cranky! She was done with it all!

After the hike Giana fell asleep with in minutes of being in the car and Adona only a few minutes longer! I love how much it tuckers them out for their naps!
